PURPOSE: An apparatus for compensating motion is provided to minimize the spreading phenomenon of an image caused by the movement of a camera by determining the optical sensitivity of a sensor and proper shutter speed. CONSTITUTION: An initializing unit(110) selects a subject from images photographed in a half shutter state and calculates the motion information of the subject. A tracking unit(120) tracks the subject through the motion information, and calculates the estimation information of the subject. A control unit(130) calculates a control signal for controlling the image sensor sensitivity and the shutter speed from the estimation information.
