APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING SIGNAL IN COGNITIVE RADIO SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for detecting a signal in a cognitive radio system are provided to reduce complicated calculation procedures in signal detection by using zero crossing detection in a cognitive radio system. CONSTITUTION: A preprocessing unit(200) converts an RF(Radio Frequency) signal into an IF(Intermediate Frequency) signal, and a zero crossing detector(210) measures the time difference between plural zero crossing points of the IF signal. A signal judgment unit(220) detects a certain sequence pattern from the information on the time difference, and judges the existence or non-existence of a signal from the detected sequence pattern. A comparison unit outputs 1 bit for every zero crossing point of an IF signal.
