Impression post for a dental implant

The rod has a molding cover (4) comprising a coupling section (16) that is connected with a dental implant (20), and a recess (6) extending in a longitudinal direction of the cover. A fastening element (8) i.e. screw, fastens the cover to the implant, and the cover has an inner sleeve (10) and an outer sleeve (12) that surrounds the inner sleeve radially at an outer side. The coupling section is attached partially to the inner sleeve, where the sleeves are arranged coaxial to each other. The fastening element is connected with the inner sleeve in a form-fit manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for molding a dental implant with a molding vertical rod.
