A rear tractor suspension for a tractor chassis (102), which has a differential mounted in a differential housing (540), is equipped with a longitudinally extending suspension arm (104,106) pivotally coupled to the chassis. A planetary gearbox (120) is fixed to the suspension arm (104, 106). One end of the drive shaft (500) is rotatably supported by the planetary gearbox, the other end by the differential housing (540). The drive shaft (500) comprises means (538, 542, 544) to reduce additional outward flexure of the suspension arm (104, 106) when the suspension arm (104, 106) is outwardly flexed and to reduce additional inward flexure when the suspension arm (104, 106) is inwardly flexed. |
