Antitheft protection for photovoltaic module

The module has output terminals for connecting a photovoltaic cell to an electrical network (2), and conductive tabs (5) arranged to establish a shunt at the output terminals and disable the module. A magnetic steel ball (6) moves in a housing cavity (4) according to a degree of freedom between a position in which the steel ball does not interact with the conductive tabs, and another position in which the steel ball interacts with the conductive tabs to establish the shunt at the output terminals and to disable the module. A magnet (7) blocks the steel ball in the latter position.
