Safety-oriented automation system with automatic address restore

The industrial automation system has fail-safe modules for interchanging process data with an operating unit, particularly actuating and measurement signals. An address relationship of the fail-safe module is deposited in a memory for clearing technical data address by a central processing unit (H1,H2). The address relationship of the fail-safe modules secures the station.
