TOUCH SENSING SYSTEM AND DISPLAY APPARATUS EMPLOYING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A touch sensing system and a display apparatus using the same are provided to sense a touch location through a light guide palate and a beam deflecting unit, thereby accurately recognizing a touch location when a user simultaneously touches several spots on a screen. CONSTITUTION: A beam deflecting unit(35) deflects light of a light source(31). A light guide plate(50) faces a screen(20). The light guide plate guides the deflected light to a different location on the screen according to a light incident location. A light detector receives at least part of the reflected light on the touch location on the screen. A control unit(39) calculates touch location information on the screen from a light detection time of the light detector.
