PURPOSE: A method and a device for selectively activating a display unit are provided to reduce a consumed power amount related to a display unit. CONSTITUTION: A sub display unit(164) includes a smaller display area size than a display area of a main display unit(162). If capacity of a battery is detected and the detected capacity is smaller than a threshold value, the main display unit is deactivated. If display of the main display unit is requested, a controller(140) performs display on the sub display unit. The controller reduces the display screen displayed on the main display unit based on a display area size of the sub display unit.
