PURPOSE: An external electrode fluorescent lamp and a liquid crystal display device module including the same are provided to prevent the generation of fricative sound between a metal-based lamp fixing unit and an external electrode by forming the external electrode using conductive silicon with a high dielectric layer. CONSTITUTION: A glass tube(210) is filled with an inactive discharge gas(201). A first external electrode(220a) and a second external electrode(220b) are formed on both external ends of the glass tube. The first external electrode and the second external electrode are formed of conductive silicon. A fluorescent material(205) is formed in the glass tube. A high dielectric layer is formed between the glass tube, the first external electrode, and the second external electrode.
