FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: pearlite rail is obtained by performing at least rough hot rolling and final hot rolling of bloom containing the following, wt %: C - 0.65-1.20, Si - 0.05-2.00, Mn - 0.05-2.00, iron and impurities are the rest; at that, final hot rolling is performed at surface temperature of rail head within not more than 900C to not less than Ar3 conversion temperature or Arcm conversion temperature till total decrease of surface area of rail head is not less than 20% and relative counter-force is not less than 1.25. Rail head surface subject to final hot rolling is subject to quick cooling to the temperature of not more than 590C with cooling rate of 2 to 30C/sec. ^ EFFECT: improving wear resistance and ductility of rail, providing hardness of rail head within specified limits. ^ 2 cl, 5 tbl, 8 dwg |
