PURPOSE: A device for supporting a SMS message transmission through IP network by using IP bearer and a method related to the same are provided to use IP bearer, thereby transmitting SMS message through network to SMSC. CONSTITUTION: A provisioner(88) provisions identifier identifying network entity selected among the network entities as a storage factor. The identifier identifies a network link unit or SMSC(SMS(Short Message Service) center). A SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) request generator receives an access about an identifier stored in the storage factor. The access makes possible to generate SIP request addressed by the identifier. The SIP request encapsulates SMS contents and includes the SMS contents inside.
