<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and unfailingly detect the omission of peeling a sealing member, by which at least an inlet-side opening is sealed, as compared to the case which does not have such a configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The density of a reference image for adjusting the toner density is monitored, when the density of the reference image is thinner than a predetermined first threshold, toner is forcedly supplied; and when the density is made thinner than a second threshold, toner supply is stopped. In addition, when the density is thinner than a third threshold, whether a sealing member attached as the one for preventing leakage of a developer, existing mainly as transfer, is discriminated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
