<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device of which for an ordinary user, usage is the same as the conventional manner while for a user in a wheelchair, use of an image reading section is easier than before. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes: an image reading section (2) for reading an image in an original; an image forming section (5) disposed below the image reading section with a space therebetween; an in-body paper discharging section (DH) provided in the space. The image reading section has an upper surface contact glass (11) on which the original is placed and a lower surface contact glass (12) on the side towards the in-body paper discharging section.
