<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer storage device which, if a user attaches a color toner container smaller than a black toner container to a black toner container attaching part, enable the user to be aware of such a mistake. <P>SOLUTION: The developer storage device includes: container attaching parts 5Y, 5M, and 5C to which the color toner containers 130Y, 130M, and 130c are detachably attached; the container attaching part 5K to which the black toner container 130K larger than the color toner containers is detachably attached; and a detection flag 6 movable between a first position detected as the absence of a container and a second position detected as the presence of a container, and movable to the second position from the first position when the black toner container 130K is attached to the container attaching part 5K. The detection flag 6 is located at a position from which the detection flag 6 is movable to the first position when any of the color toner containers is attached to the container attaching part 5K, and is movable to the second position when the black container 130K is attached to the container attaching part 5K. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
