<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a cylinder head of an engine equipped with a variable valve gear. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This valve gear includes a drive shaft 11 which rotates in linking with a crankshaft 114 of an internal combustion engine 100, and converts rotary motion of the drive shaft 11 to oscillating motion through a first link 14, a first rocker arm 16, and a second link 17 to open or close an intake valve 125. The valve gear converts rotary motion of the drive shaft 11 to oscillating motion through a third link 24, a second rocker arm 27, and a fourth link 28 to open or close an exhaust valve 126 in a same manner.
