PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail erroneous transmission prevention device performing address confirmation allowing maintenance of effectiveness of a security check. SOLUTION: A user weight list generation part 16 of this mail erroneous transmission prevention device 1 calculates a storage rate of an address of each mail of a transmission log by a model expression wherein the storage rate is attenuated with time, totals the storage rate of the mail in each transmission destination, sets it as weight, and records it in a user weight list. When a mail transmission/reception part 10 receives a transmission-scheduled mail, an address decision part 17 compares the weight of the transmission destination of the transmission-scheduled mail obtained in reference to the user weight list with a prescribed threshold value, and decides that the transmission destination is "trust completion" only when the weight exceeds the threshold value. When at least one of the transmission destinations of the transmission-scheduled mail is not the "trust completion", an address confirmation part 18 makes a transmitter terminal 3 display an address confirmation screen to prompt the address confirmation.
