PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably discharge droplets with high frequency. SOLUTION: Driving waveform to be applied to a pressure generation means of an ink discharge head 18 has fundamental waveform including three or more driving pulses, in which the driving pulses are divided into two or more pulse groups, periods of the driving pulses in the pulse groups are less than 3/2 of a fixed period of the ink discharge head 18, and intervals with the driving pulses in each pulse group are equal to or more than 3/2 of the fixed period. Furthermore, when the fixed period of meniscus compliance is defined as Tm, the repetition period of the fundamental waveform is the periods of driving pulses×the number of driving pulses+α1(α1≥Tm).
