The device (100) has vertically elongated plates (15a, 15b) located at an upper end of a canopy (1), where each plate includes an exterior face and an interior face. A coupling configuration of each plate is located at corresponding end of a longitudinal drum (3) for winding/unwinding the canopy. Each plate has studs projecting on its interior face and tightly encased in corresponding open end of a longitudinal longeron. Fixing units firmly fix the studs against interior faces of the open end of the longeron.
