DEVELOPING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate impact force resulting from movement of toner in collision to thereby prevent scattering of the toner from an exposure port to the outside.

SOLUTION: A developing cartridge 40 has: a buffer 411 in the inside of which a toner buffer chamber for storing the toner is formed and part of which includes the long exposure port 411a; and a long developing roller 43 arranged in parallel with the exposure port 411a and with part of which exposed outside the chamber. The buffer 411 includes: a plurality of regulation plates 481 (or 482) which are supported to the inner wall of the toner buffer chamber so as to have free ends and regulate movement of the toner in the longitudinal direction of the developing roller 43; and a rib 411b having a vertical surface approximately in parallel with the regulation plates 481 (or 482) at an inner wall opposite to the free end side of the regulation plate 481 (or 482) and between the regulation plates 481 (or 482) adjacent to each other.
