PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eco-friendly weed suppressing board which maintains the original shape for at least three years or thereabout, achieves weed suppressing function even in an exterior environment exposed to wind and rain simply by laying on ground or the like, and returns to soil after the lapse of life. SOLUTION: The weed suppressing board includes a water-absorbing wood fiber board and a synthetic resin applied to at least one surface of the board in the form of a net, and is produced by applying the synthetic resin in a net form to a surface of a wet-formed moistening mat composed mainly of wood fibers and heat-treating the product.
