PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the noise which occurs when shifting in an auxiliary transmission in a four-wheel drive vehicle including the main transmission and an auxiliary transmission. SOLUTION: When a driver turns on an H-L selector switch (S1) and all of the H-L switching conditions are satisfied (S2), an ECU starts shifting by a transfer (an auxiliary transmission) (S4), and when the driver operates a shift lever from the N position to the D position before the shifting by the transfer is completed (YES in S4), the ECU maintains the shift range of an automatic transmission (a main transmission) in the N range until the shifting by the transfer is completed (S7), and after the shifting by the transfer is completed (S9), the ECU switches the shift range of the automatic transmission (the main transmission) to the D range (S10).
