PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly versatile analysis method for residual dipolar interaction and a reagent for analyzing residual dipolar interaction. SOLUTION: In the analysis method for residual dipolar interaction, a method for analyzing the residual dipolar interaction of magnetically oriented target molecules, the residual dipolar interaction of the target molecules is analyzed by applying static magnetic fields to a solution containing both a hollow complex provided with the following (a)-(c): (a) a plurality of constituent molecules each containing a plurality of aromatic rings; (b) the plurality of constituent molecules are integrated by noncovalent bonding in such a way that the plurality of aromatic rings contained in each of the plurality of constituent molecules may be in parallel with the magnetic fields; and (c) the formation of internal spaces between the plurality of constituent molecules and the target molecules of which the whole or part is included in the internal spaces of the hollow complex and magnetically orienting the target molecules with the hollow complex.
