摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp mechanism which can switch an object from a removed state to a grasped state in a rapid and reliable manner. SOLUTION: The clamp mechanism includes: a cylindrical retainer 13 that, in order to detachably grasp the outer peripheral surface of the object, has a plurality of long holes 131, which are provided while providing a space therebetween in a circumferential direction, and surrounds the outer peripheral surface of the object; and a spanner body 11 that has a handle 112 and a ring 111 provided at one end of the handle. In the ring part, a plurality of wedge-shaped guide grooves 14 provided on the inner peripheral surface while providing a space therebetween in a circumferential direction, and the retainer is housed on the inner peripheral side. The clamp mechanism further includes a plurality of rollers 12 that have a larger diameter than the wall-thickness dimension of the retainer, are respectively housed in the long holes 131, are rolled in a wedge region and an idle region in the wedge guide grooves upon the rotation of the retainer, grasp the outer peripheral surface of the object in the wedge region by wedge action, and release the wedge action in the idle region.
