PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a louver grille for a window, which disables an unlocking operation of a locking mechanism from either of indoor and outdoor sides in ordinary use, which enables the performance of the operation of unlocking the locking mechanism from the indoor side, only when a spline is closed, and which can sufficiently secure a crime prevention function by disabling the unlocking operation from the outside. SOLUTION: This louver grille for the window includes an outer frame 2 for being fixed to a building, and two louver sliding screen bodies 3 and 3 which are built in the outer frame 2 in such a manner as to open/close an opening of an inner periphery of the outer frame 2 and at least either of which can be moved for opening/closing. The outer frame 2 or the louver sliding screen 3 is provided with the locking mechanism 4 which enables the louver sliding screen body 3 in a closing position to be fixed to and opened from the outer frame or the other sliding screen body. The louver sliding screen body 3 moving for opening/closing is provided with a cover member 8 which covers the locking mechanism 4 so as not to be operable in the state of being in a closing position with respect to the outer frame 2 and of having the louver spline 6 of the louver sliding screen body 3 set in an opening phase, and which opens the locking mechanism 4 in an operable manner in the state of having the louver spline 6 set in a closing phase.
