PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronically controlled valve driving device for an internal combustion engine capable of improving the working easiness and reducing the costs by constructing smaller the component parts and decreasing the number of component parts and of suppressing the generation of a cavitation and/or erosion of a high pressure piping system. SOLUTION: The electronically controlled valve driving device of the internal combustion engine includes a hydraulic piston 22 installed at a valve 21 accommodated in the valve driving device 20 for opening the valve, an oil pressure generating means 33 to supply oil pressure to the hydraulic piston, a direction control valve 31 to supply the oil pressure given by the oil pressure generating means to the hydraulic piston or discharge therefrom, and a damping actuator 25 connected between the direction control valve and the hydraulic piston and having an actuator function to drive the piston with the oil pressure supplied or discharged by the direction control valve and also a damping function to suppress the driving speed of the hydraulic piston.
