摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness of a backlight, without generating unevenness of luminance in a liquid crystal display device including a direct backlight, using an LED for the light source. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A light source part having LEDs 50 and a direct backlight having optical components are arranged on the back of a liquid crystal display panel 10. A plurality of PCB substrates 40, mounted with a plurality of LEDs are arranged on the inside of a lower frame 30. Holes 41 are formed in each PCB substrate 40, and projections 31, formed in the lower frame 30, are inserted in respective holes 41. Since the PCB substrates 40 and the lower frame 30 are positioned with each other by the holes formed in the PCB substrates 40 and the projections 31 formed on the lower frame 30, accurate positioning can be achieved; and since influence is not exerted on the reflection characteristics, based on a reflecting sheet 35, the unevenness of luminance can be reduced.
