<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance security, and to simplify registration processing of an authentication key. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An authentication key matching unit 10 includes: a light-emitting means 11 for emitting light with a predetermined wavelength to the authentication key 30 having a transmission hole 31 formed in an optional shape and having the transmission hole 31 provided with an optical filter 31a allowing the transmission of only the light with the predetermined wavelength; a hole shape reading means 12 for outputting image data on the transmission hole 31 when the light emitted from the light-emitting means 11 is transmitted through the optical filter 31a; an image analyzing means 13 for outputting hole shape information identifying the shape of the transmission hole 31, based on the image data from the hole shape reading means 12; and a control determination means 17 for determining the validity of authentication information, comprising the hole shape information and emitted-light wavelength information indicating the emitted-light wavelength of the light transmitted through the transmission hole 31, by collating the authentication information with preregistered authentication information for collation, and for controlling the shutting and opening of the lock when normal authentication is established.
