PURPOSE: A shock absorber is intended to provide the strong shock absorbing force by the moving of a piston rod under frequent and high load and the formation of the complex inner channel of a hydraulic stopper. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber(50) comprises a cylinder(52) and a hydraulic stopper(60). The hydraulic stopper restricts the excessive tension of a piston rod(54) which is guided to a rod guide(56) and reciprocates. The rod guide is extended downwards from the lower end and comprises an extended part(57) which holds the stopper. The hydraulic stopper comprises a main body(62), a sealing member(64), and an orifice. The main body is fixed on the outer surface of the piston rod and the outer diameter part of the main body is formed close to the inner surface of an inner pipe(52a). The sealing member is installed on the outer diameter part of the main body and makes tight contact with the inner surface of the extended part of the rod guide. The sealing member forms a shock absorbing chamber (SC) for generating the shock absorbing force. The orifice is formed on the hydraulic stopper and connects the shock absorbing chamber to the cylinder.
