<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that reduces area of contact between paper and a rib guide and prevents dew on a rib guide from adhering to the paper. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes a fixing section 8 for heating and melting a toner image to fix it to the paper, and a guiding section 9 (second guiding member 9B) for guiding the paper P from the fixing section 8 to a paper eject section 104. The second guide member 9B has at the paper contact side leading end a plurality of projections 92a arranged in parallel along a paper guide direction (a).
