PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for oral cavity containing a copper compound, excellent in inhibitory effects of periodontal diseases, improved in lowering of liking or lowering of preservation stability of formulation both resulting from the copper compound, having good sense of use and preservation stability, and suitable for the treatment or prevention of periodontal diseases. SOLUTION: This composition for oral cavity includes: (A) a copper compound selected from copper gluconate, copper sulfate and hydrates thereof; (B) an amino acid (excluding basic amino acids and sulfur-containing amino acids) or salts thereof; (C) a carboxy vinyl polymer and/or a polyacrylate; and (D) a nonionic surfactant.
