<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling apparatus capable of surely applying a constant amount of grease and mounting a predetermined number of balls on ball races formed at both ends of a head pipe. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The assembling apparatus for applying grease and mounting the balls 4 on the ball races formed at both ends of the head pipe includes: an upper head 5 and a lower head 6 for clamping both ends of the head pipe; a ball supplying means 7 for arranging and holding the predetermined number of balls 4 on the heads 5 and 6; a grease pressure-feeding means 8 for feeding the constant amount of the grease from the respective heads 5 and 6 to the vicinity of the ball race parts; and a ball pressure-feeding means 9 for pushing out the grease fed by the grease pressure-feeding means 8 by the balls 4 arranged and held by the ball supplying means 7 and also putting the balls 4 and the grease on the ball races at both ends of the head pipe.
