PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor for effectively cooling a coil or a core, and suppressing a noise. SOLUTION: The reactor includes a core 4 comprising a resin mixed with a magnetic powder, a coil 2, and a cylindrical member 3 for dissipating heat. A radially expanded portion 5 is formed at the end of the cylindrical member 3. The radially expanded portion 5 includes a tapered portion 5a with an outer diameter expanded as it goes outside in the axial direction, and a chamfered portion 5b positioned outside in the axial direction of the tapered portion 5a with its chamfered outer peripheral side 50. The position of the outer surface 40 of the core 4 in contact with the cylindrical member 3 exists on the chamfered portion 5b. Accordingly, a gap is hardly formed in between the core 4 and the cylindrical portion 3, and no troubles occur to generate the noise in the gap even when the coil 2 is vibrated.
