<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw unit that has a simple configuration and allows the easy and proper fitting of a circulation member, and an electric power steering apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A fitting recess 18 that connects fitting holes 16, 17 to each other is formed at a peripheral face 13s of a ball screw nut 13. The circulation member 15 includes a pair of fitted portions 19, 20 that are fitted in the fitting holes 16, 17, and a connecting portion 21 that provides communication between the fitted portions 19, 20. A communication groove 23 that has an opening at the fitted end side of the connecting portion 21 and that extends in the axial direction is formed at the connecting portion 21. When the connecting portion 21 is fitted in the fitting recess 18 and the opening of the communication groove 23 formed at the connecting portion 21 is blocked by a bottom 25 of the fitting recess 18, a second path L4 that forms a return path L2 together with first paths L3 formed at the fitted portions 19, 20 is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
