<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an emergency stop of an electric vehicle in the case that an accelerator lever is erroneously pulled toward an operating handle side. <P>SOLUTION: A turning shaft pin 37 is installed at a mechanical chassis 36. A switch box plate 35 is provided with a first spring 41 inserted into the turning shaft pin, having holes of the turning shaft extending in a forward or rearward direction of a vehicle arranged at central positions in a width direction of the vehicle and biasing the mechanical chassis at the central positions in the width direction of the vehicle in respect to the switch box plate, and a second spring 42 for biasing the mechanical chassis against the switch box plate in a forward direction of the vehicle. When one of the left side and the right side of the accelerator lever 33 pivotally supported at the mechanical chassis is pulled toward an operating handle 32 side, the mechanical chassis is turned left or right around a fulcrum point of the turning shaft pin 37 and when both the left side and the right side of the accelerator lever are pulled simultaneously toward the operating handle side, the mechanical chassis is moved in the rearward direction of the vehicle.
