PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve resolution of a lens unit.

SOLUTION: In the lens unit having: a plurality of lens assembly members in which a plurality of lens elements are arranged so as to form columns extending in a direction approximately orthogonal to the optical axis, and arranged so that optical axes of each lens element match one another; and a light-shielding member in which a plurality of diaphragms through which each optical axis of the lens elements passes is arranged so as to extend in the direction approximately orthogonal to the optical axis, the lens assembly members are arranged according to focal length of the lens elements.
