PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a form rolling method and device by which quality of a machined article can be secured. SOLUTION: In a state that a pair of round dies 88 are pressed to the outer periphery of a round rod-like workpiece W from both sides in the radial direction of the workpiece W, the pair of round dies 88 are rotated to rotate the workpiece W. As a result, a worm-constituting spiral groove is form-rolled on the outer periphery of the workpiece W, wherein the revolving speed of the workpiece W is adjusted so that the pace of the workpiece W is suppressed.
