SALT-TOLERANCE GENE AS SELECTABLE MARKER FOR PLANT TRANSFORMATION AND USES THEREOF

PURPOSE: A salt tolerance gene as a selection marker for transgenic plant is provided to screen plant transformant and to reduce risk by replacing antibiotics. CONSTITUTION: An expression vector for transforming plants contains a salt tolerance gene. The salt tolerance gene is selected from sequence numbers 1-4. The plant is family Lemnaceae. A method for screening transgenic plant comprises: a step of transforming plant cells with the expression vector; and a step of selecting transformed plant cells in a medium containing salt. The salt is NaCl. A composition for selecting transgenic plant contains the salt tolerance gene.
