<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe which has an inexpensive and reusable constitution and is detectable of an abnormal temperature. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe is provided with an ultrasonic element part transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves and an external component including a housing 2b covering the ultrasonic element part. At least a part of the external component is constituted of a material containing a first reversible thermochromic material, which makes a coloration reaction at an occurrence temperature of 40 to 50°C.
