PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a car-mounted display system provided with the display device capable of surely switching to a circumferential image of a vehicle irrespective of the status of the display device. SOLUTION: The display device 10 includes a switch 8a for switching the input and interception of the image signal relating to the circumferential image of the vehicle, and displays the image according to the input image signal. In the display device 10, the switch 8a is configured so as to switch the input and interception of the image signal when a switch signal is received, and a CPU1 gets control which is different from the switching control by the switch 8a according to the switch signal received by the switch 8a.
