FLOAT GLASS POLISHING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a float glass polishing device by conventional technology can not apply a uniform force to float glass.

SOLUTION: The float glass polishing system includes: a lower unit 110 for rotating the float glass G which is an object to be processed and is positionally fixed; an upper unit 120 contacting with the float glass G and rotated with the rotation of the float glass G; and a movement unit 130 for moving the upper unit 120 in a horizontal direction or a vertical direction. The upper unit 120 includes: a fixing platter 121 fixed to the spindle 124 of the movement unit 130; a polishing platter 123 movably arranged relative to the fixing platter 121; and a pressure applying member 150 that is interposed between the fixing platter 121 and the polishing platter 123 for uniformly maintaining the pressure of the polishing platter 123 to be applied to the float glass G.
