SCREEN DISPLAY CONTROL SYSTEM, SCREEN DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD, PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen display control system giving no stress to a user when a comparatively long time is needed to display content to be displayed next, and reducing a load of an image display system.

SOLUTION: The screen display control system includes: a time measurement means starting time measurement on reception of a content selection signal; a display permission/prohibition determining means determining whether it is in a condition for displaying content and intermediate information; and an intermediate information display means changing screen display simultaneously with the start of the time measurement and displaying content when a condition for displaying the content is established or displaying the intermediate information while adjusting timing if the content cannot be displayed even after a lapse of predetermined time as a result of the time measurement.
