<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video image processing device which can detect a motion vector highly precisely and perform frame rate translation suppressed in the breakdown of an video image, even for an video image accompanying a plurality of movements in one screen or an video image accompanying a movement in which a plurality of moving objects intersect one another, in the frame rate translation by a motion compensation method. <P>SOLUTION: The video image processing device includes a motion vector detection portion for detecting object motion information using a plurality of frames, an interpolation frame formation portion for performing interpolation in a horizontal direction, a vertical direction, and a time direction, according to a motion vector obtained by the motion vector detection portion, and a movement feature detection portion for detecting features of movement among the frames. In addition, an interpolating method of the horizontal direction, the vertical direction, and the time direction at the interpolation frame formation portion is changed according to the features detected by the movement feature detection portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
