<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress display failure in the vicinity of an edge of a pixel region in a liquid crystal device including a touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device includes: a first substrate (10) and a second substrate (20) which are arranged opposite to each other; the touch panel (200) having a position detection region (210a); a plurality of pixel parts (Pa) arrayed in the pixel region (10a) on the first substrate (10); a plurality of dummy pixel parts (Pd) arrayed on a dummy pixel region (10d) at least partially surrounding the pixel region on the first substrate; and a signal supply means (101) which supplies a first dummy image signal having the same potential as an image signal to be supplied to the pixel parts adjacent to the first dummy pixel parts, to the first dummy pixel parts (Pd1) adjacent to the pixel parts.
