PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire improved in on-snow performance and drainage performance in addition to a significant improvement in on-ice performance by optimizing a tread pattern. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire includes a plurality of block lines L in a tread part 1, that have blocks 4 arranged side by side in the tire circumferential direction and demarcated by a plurality of vertical grooves 2 extended in the tire circumferential direction and a plurality of lateral grooves 3 extended in the tire width direction while mutually connecting the vertical grooves 2 adjacent to each other in the tire width direction. Moreover, a block number density D of an area with arrangement of the blocks 4 is 0.003-0.04 (pieces/mm<SP>2</SP>). Furthermore, this pneumatic tire includes a plurality of inclined grooves 5 arranged in the tire circumferential direction in the tread part 1, that have groove length longer than the width W<SB>L</SB>of the block line L, and inclined and extended both in the tire circumferential direction and the tire width direction.
