PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite carrier core material for developing an electrostatic latent image that prevents carrier scattering when used as a developer, has a high developing characteristic and image quality characteristic, and reduces the occurrence of a flaw in a photoreceptor or the like, and to provide a ferrite carrier and an electrostatic latent image developer. SOLUTION: In this ferrite carrier core material, the average circularity is 0.81-0.89, the circle equivalent diameter is ≤15 μm, the aspect ratio is ≥1.5, and particle content is ≤1.0%. The ferrite carrier formed by covering the surface of the ferrite carrier core material with resin, and the electrostatic latent image developer using the ferrite carrier are employed.
