<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LC adapter easily releasing the coupling with an LC connector. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The LC adapter 23 receives a plug 25 of the LC connector 21 from a receiving opening 32. An opening 38 forming a moving route of a lock lever 36 of the plug 25 is formed in a guide wall 31. A flat surface 48 is formed on the top surface of the plug 25 from the receiving opening 32 to the front end of moving space of a projection 47 projecting from the lock lever 36 in parallel. The flat surface 48 faces the guide wall 31 while extending in parallel with the guide wall 31. An interference object is not arranged in the moving space of the projection 47 between the flat surface 48 and guide wall 31. When the LC connector 21 is inserted or pulled out, the projection 47 can move in parallel with the flat surface 48.
