<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crankshaft and a method for manufacturing the crankshaft constituted by joining a plurality of members by welding and suitable for securing durability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The axial ends 2A, 3A of a crank pin 2 and a main journal 3 are inserted in connection holes 6, 7 of a crank web 4, and the tip parts of insertion portions of the axial ends 2A, 3A of the crank pin 2 and main journal 3 into the connection holes 6, 7 are welded at the whole periphery around the shaft to the crank web 4.
