PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid transporting device capable of delivering liquid inexpensively and stably and being used for a disposable apparatus. SOLUTION: The liquid transporting device includes a base material 12, a micro-flow channel 18 formed on the base material and leading a liquid to an inspection part 14, and a valve mechanism 30 disposed in the middle of the micro flow channel for opening and closing the micro-flow channel. The valve mechanism includes: a ring-shaped valve seat 34 disposed in the micro flow channel; an externally deformable diaphragm 40 formed on the base material and positioned facing the valve seat; a valve placement surface 44 facing the valve seat and positioned opposite to the diaphragm; and a valve body 36, having a bottom part abutting against the valve face 36c abutting against the valve seat and the placement surface being elastically deformably formed which is disposed in the micro flow channel, in a elastically pressed state to the valve seat, closing the micro-flow channel, and opening the micro flow channel by the valve surface which is separated from the valve seat undergoing an elastic deformation, when it is pressed from the outside via the diaphragm.
