PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of providing unprecedented display modes, and a game machine equipped with the same. SOLUTION: The display device 70 includes a light-transmissive display part 73, a partition board 80 for dividing the rear of the display part 73 into a plurality of sections, and a light source 90 mounted within a section divided by the partition board 80 for illuminating the display part 73 from behind.
