The reformer (1) has a reforming catalyst (5) following a gas exit tube toward an upstream of a catalytic treating device i.e. nitrogen oxide trap, that treats exhaust gas of an engine. A gas mixer device (6) is placed between a vapor reducer injection device (4) and the reforming catalyst. The reducer injection device is placed on a gas supply tube (3). The mixer device comprises alternate transverse walls (6A-6D) placed in a housing (2) and forms a baffle trajectory for the gas, where the housing has diameter increasing along upstream of the mixer device. An independent claim is also included for an exhaust line of an automobile engine comprising an exhaust pipe.
